Support

AA splits shared expenses among a small group — a trip, a flat, a regular dinner — and keeps a running tally of who owes whom instead of closing the books. It runs on the web and on iOS.

Getting help

Write to [email protected]. Please say what you were doing and what happened; a screenshot helps. We answer within a few business days.

That address is the right one for anything: a bug, a question, a balance that looks wrong, a request to delete data, or a problem with something another member of your book has written.

Common questions

Someone owes me and the app won't let them settle up. That is deliberate. AA has no settle-up button — the tally just keeps running, and you square things among yourselves however you already do.

I joined the wrong book. You can leave a book from Settings, as long as you have no expenses recorded in it. Expenses are shared records, and removing yours would change what everyone else is owed.

Can I get my data out? Yes — Expenses, then the ⋯ menu, then Export as JSONL. It exports everything in the current book.

How do I delete my account? Settings, then Delete Account, at the bottom. It removes your identity from AA — the link to your sign-in account, and the nicknames other members saw. The expenses you paid for or shared stay in those books under a deleted member, without your name, because removing them would change what everyone else is owed. There is no undo.

Reporting content

Books are private: only people you invite can see what is in one. If another member writes something abusive or otherwise objectionable, write to [email protected] with the book name and what you saw. We look at every report and can remove content or an account.
